PURPOSE OF POSITION:
To provide efficient, courteous and reliable communication service to members for quality system operation; to coordinate communication with crews for status and assignment; to monitor status of electric systems.

MINIMUM JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

REQUIRES:
  • Require High School Graduate/Equivalent. Prefer successful completion of two-year Electric Technical School.
  • Required minimum 1-3 years experience in electric utility operations, control center operations, or a related field.
  • Require demonstrable expertise of Carroll EMC’s service territory, its boundaries, proficiency in electric distribution or transmission systems, operating SCADA systems, outage management systems, and two-way communication equipment.
  • Require demonstrable expertise in interacting with the public and demonstrable knowledge of Carroll EMC policies and procedures, effectively communicating these to members.
  • Require the ability to successfully pass Carroll EMC’s employment entrance examination and drug screen.
  • Require the ability to obtain and maintain ITS certification.
  • Require interpersonal skills for interacting with the public; ability to accurately perform multiple duties.
  • Prefer training in business related courses and previous experience in public interaction.
